The Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview Conference

The Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview Conference

Facilitating Disclosure in Sexual Assault Investigations:
A Real Change in the Conversation
and
Responding, Investigating, and Prosecuting:
Changing the Paradigm

When: November 28-30, 2017

Where: Ramada Kingston Hotel & Conference Centre
              33 Benson Street
              Kingston, ON K7K 5W3

Presented By: Special Agent Russell W. Strand (Retired)

Internationally recognized sexual assault investigations expert and developer of the cutting-edge Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview, Special Agent (Retired) Russell W. Strand will present a three-day conference on sexual assault response, investigations, and prosecutions.

Please join us in learning a new victim centered interviewing technique which borrows from critical incident stress debriefing, child forensic interviews, and the neuroscience of trauma and memory. The FETI technique obtains significantly more information, enhances a trauma victim’s ability to recall, reduces the potential for false information, and allows the interviewee to recount the experience in the manner in which the trauma was experienced. Turn your one dimensional traditional investigation into a three dimensional offence centered investigation. This conference will benefit justice professionals in enhancing the response to all victims of sexual assaults.  Syllabus and schedule will be released at a later date.
