The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services and the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) are pleased to invite members of your organization to participate in the 2017 OACP Constable Selection System (CSS) Symposium.
This year's symposium theme is "iRecruit: The Next Generation" and will focus on emerging trends, issues and best practices in recruiting for a diverse and inclusive future using innovative technologies and activities. As always, the symposium also provides police service recruiters a forum to network with other experts and will give attendees the opportunity to develop best practices and provide feedback to the Ministry and the OACP on broader CSS issues.
The symposium will run from 8:30AM - 3:00PM and registration and breakfast will commence at 7:15AM.
- Human resources personnel (recruiters/assessors, managers, directors) of CSS-licensed police services
- Senior command of small- to medium-sized police services (Chiefs/Deputy Chiefs/Inspectors)
- Registration and meal costs will be covered by the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. Registrants are required to pay for their own accommodations, travel costs and other amenities.
- Registration for the Symposium is limited to 120 people.
