WHEREAS the current shortage of police officers in Ontario has resulted in increased movement of officers from one service to another;

WHEREAS items such as custom made bullet proof vests are costly and could be used in services across the Province; and

WHEREAS clothing and equipment, where appropriate, could travel with officers from one service to another.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police recommends that the originating service be appropriately compensated where a member moves from one service to another where a reciprocal agreement has been developed between services.
