Police Leadership Program
The only MBA-style program in Canada designed specifically for police executives, the Police Leadership Program was developed as a partnership between the OACP and the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. It is an intensive course with a customized curriculum that covers strategy, financial management, human resources, leadership, police service delivery, community knowledge, political astuteness and communications .
Participation in the Police Leadership Program is key to police service succession planning. The next offering of the program is Monday, September 20 - Saturday, October 9, 2010 (three weeks).
Please consider assessing the executive education needs of your leadership cadre to identify candidates. Graduates of the program have expressed strong support for the skills and experience gained throughout the program.

The following will update you on changes to the OACP-Rotman Police Leadership Program and to encourage you to consider sending a candidate from your service. The following changes have been made on the advice of the OACP Training Committee:
- Pricing: the fees are $ 12,500 (this includes accommodation) or $10,000 by making the accommodation costs optional. Services that require accommodation will be billed directly for the optional charges. The fee continues to cover all meals during program times.
- Project: An action-learning project that provides participants with the challenge of developing and guiding a project that can be implemented in their organization within a six month timeframe. Projects will require approval by the participant’s Chief. This is a process that Rotman has used successfully in other programs to foster the transfer of learning back to the organization.
- Undergraduate credit: The ability to earn a semester credit at Woodsworth College, University of Toronto. This is an optional extra for those who choose to take advantage of it. The credit will be transferable to undergraduate programs at the university at which they are enrolled.
