Freedom of Information Police Network (FOIPN) – Spring Seminar (SOLD OUT)

On behalf of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, the FOIPN (Freedom of Information Police Network), is facilitating a three-day Workshop for Police Freedom of Information Co-ordinators, Analysts and Clerks on April 29, 30 and May 1, 2008, hosted by the Barrie Police Service at the Holiday Inn Barrie, 20 Fairview Rd., Barrie, ON.

Day One will be a Beginner Course. Days Two and Three will provide hands-on case studies, a Regional Meeting, and special guest speakers, including the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner/Ontario, the Ministry of Government Services and members of the Police Legal Advisors Committee. 

Registration is limited to 35 registrants for the Beginner Course and 50 registrants per day on Days Two and Three. Preferred registration for the Beginner Course will be given to those new to FOI. Registration will close March 31, 2008.

The Fall FOIPN Workshop will be held on October 20, 21 and 22, 2008, hosted by the Chatham-Kent Police Service, followed by the LEARN Conference on October 23, 2008.
