Freedom of Information Police Network (FOIPN) – Spring Seminar

On behalf of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, the (FOIPN) is providing a three-day workshop for Police Freedom of Information Co-ordinators, Analysts and Clerks, on April 16, 17 and 18, hosted by the Waterloo Regional Police Service at the Holiday Inn, 30 Fairway Road South, Kitchener.

Day one will be a Beginner Course. Day two and three will provide hands-on case studies and special guest speakers from the Information & Privacy Commission and Ministry of Government Services. The fee for the workshop is $75 per person per day.

This information may be beneficial for your FOI Co-ordinators and Records Management staff.

Registration is limited to 35 people for Beginner Level training and 50 people per day on day 2 and day 3. Preferred registration for the Beginner Training will be given to those new to FOI.  Last day to register is March 15.

Dress is ‘business casual.’

Hotel reservations may be made at the Holiday Inn 519-893-1211. Please indicate that you are attending the Waterloo Regional Police/FOIPN Workshop, in order to obtain the rate of $110.

For your information, the Fall workshop will be held on September 25, 26 and 27 In Port Hope. It will be held in conjunction with LEARN which is scheduled for September 28.
